No resolutions for this lady here. Rather I like to think of it as an extension of the person I already am. This is less intimidating than a resolution…
It’s pretty simple really - I want to write more notes to people. It’s good timing since I need to get on writing thank you notes. This is practice I’m totally new to, I was clearly not bred in good society or whatever.
And this seems like a fine way to start my new civilized practice of thank you notes…

Ice Cube celebrating The Eames. A pretty brilliant way to bring publicity to Pacific Standard Time, a collaborative series of art exhibitions in L.A. Doesn’t it almost make you want to go to L.A.?
What, you don’t want to look like a Greek Goddess?
Go away swoopy bangs, I’ve had you for ten years now. It’s time to grow you out. I believe it’s time to move on. Let’s show the world my five-head!
The chilly Portland weather is making me want to wrap myself and my apartment up in nice sturdy Pendleton wool. I’m really into the Pendleton National Parks Series and think it may do better than the down we’re currently using.
I’d also love this rug because nothing says luxury like a bougie rug to stomp all over, amiright?
Oh, and ANOTHER Portland shopping extravagenza - might be nice for Holiday gift shopping…for myself.
From the Chez Panisse 40th Anniversary celebration. If I were a socialite and entertained more, this is what I would serve my guests. These little sandwiches look dainty but not too precious, like I can really take a bite out of it and feel good about everything.
I’d also serve these with a bourbon champagne cocktail - reading Raymond Chandler’s The Big Sleep and this drink was mentioned. I am intrigued…
Yet another shopping event in Portland - ADX is hosting Student Stylists Party, One Night Stand, free drinks and snacks. I’m there!
